On 16th October 2025, Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr. Fergal Dennehy welcomed to the Cork City Council Chamber the participants of the 2024-2025 Alliance Française de Cork #French ’DELF for DEIS’ initiative, to personally present them with their official French DELF A2 Diplomas.

The students, their parents, their French teachers, Principals and Deputy Principals present were also invited to visit the Lord Mayor’s office.

The now annual ’DELF for DEIS’ Initiative was created four years ago by Alliance Française de Cork President Valérie David-McGonnell, with the support of the Cork City Council.

The 2025-2026 edition will be launched in the next few weeks.
