Welcome to the Alliance Française de Cork Language Centre!

We provide French courses for adults, second-level students, children, college students, and teachers, at every level, from complete beginners to bilingual speakers, in group classes or private tuition.

We teach French as a Modern Foreign Language, French for Specific Purposes, Corporate French, and French as a First Language (Français Langue Maternelle, for children/teenagers who speak French at home).

Our classes are held in our premises in Mary Street, Cork City, or online. We can also organise classes in your school or business, in the city centre and the greater Cork City area.

French Group Courses for adults

Our academic year for adult courses is divided into three terms: 2 main terms (15 weeks each), and shorter courses over the summer:

  • Term 1 - Autumn Term from September to January.
  • Term 2 - Spring Term from February to May.
  • We also have special, shorter courses in the Summer.

French Group Courses for teenagers

  • Our courses for teenagers run from September to May.
  • We also have special, shorter courses in the Summer.

French Group Courses for children

  • Our courses for children run from September to May.
  • We also have special, shorter courses in the Summer.

French Short-term Group Courses

We also propose short-term courses (for primary school teachers, corporate groups, or college students) at different times during the year.

Private Tuition

Private tuition may be organised all year long, subject to our French tutors’ availability.
