PAYSAGES, PAYS-SAGES ; AUX LIMITES DU SAHARA… PAR SAMUEL CHANTOISEAU
August 1, 2007
Samuel Chantoiseau has practised photography for fifteen years. His work concentrates principally on reportage in black and white. He has regularly visited the Sahara and has sojourned there for a few months at a time. While in the Sahara Samuel experienced profound moments of closeness with the Touaregs, ‘The People of the Sahara’.
Samuel has captured these images while travelling the velvety yet bold heart of these desert lands.
This exhibition invites you to go on a journey across the spatio-temporal limits of this photographic instant in black and white; to contemplate these landscapes; to wonder about these magnificent spaces of uncertain limits where different peoples live and move in the depths of this mysterious environment
