PAYSAGES ET PROMENEURS PAR DOROTHY CHRISTIE
November 1, 2007
A Canadian figurative painter and engraver of Irish origin, Dorothy Christie has been living and working in France for a considerable number of years.
She is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art, where she studied painting, drawing and printmaking.
Inspired by some of the great humourists and colourists of the past, by the oriental arts and by travels to India and North Africa, she is interested in the quality of light, warm colours, humour, fantasy and life in general.
Her work may be found in collections in Canada, the United States, France, England, Australia, Finland and Sweden.
