Impressions of the South by Nicolas Duranton
September 16, 2009
At the Alliance Française Gallery
4th September – 17th October 2009
A series of pictures that represent everything that is considered authentic for the South of France: a cloudless blue sky, terracotta coloured walls, historical architecture and Mediterranean flora. Although portraying these clichés to some extent, Nicolas Duranton’s pictures capture what truly is the essence of Southern France: a laid-back summery beauty, an innate sense of its own history and a unique life-style that fascinates people world-wide.
