FUSION PAR PASCAL UNGERER & GILLES PETER
Pascal Ungerer is a photographer living in West Cork, where he has set up a studio dedicated to traditional methods of black and white printing. Pascal works mainly landscape photography, much of his work is inspired by the Irish countryside in which he lives. Prior to moving back to Ireland, Pascal lived in France and England for a number of years where he studied photography. While studying photography in London, he met a young French photographer named Gilles Peter.
Gilles Peter comes from Strasbourg. He decided to move to London in 2001 to study photography. He has travelled to many countries around the world, particularly West Africa and France. Over the past year, he decided to concentrate on landscape photography and sells many of his prints in France.
Having similar tastes in photography, Pascal and Gilles decided to collaborate on an exhibition together, Cork being the ideal place, as it is European Capital of Culture 2005.
Fusion is an exhibition created by two photographers, Irish and French, coming together to portray the rural environment in which we live today
