JUNIOR CERT IMMERSION COURSES
(suitable for students entering both 2nd year & 3rd year in September 2013)

COURSE DURATION: Classes held over 1 week (20 hours) Monday to Friday 10am-12pm & 1-3pm daily (max 12 students)
DATES J.CERT FRENCH IMMERSION: Choice of 3 Sessions: 10-14 June, 8-12 July, 12-16 August 2013
COST: €230, special Discount of €30 on combined total for a student booking for both French and Irish immersion courses
LEAVING CERT IMMERSION COURSES
(suitable for students entering both 5th Year & Leaving Cert in September 2013)
- Develop your speaking & understanding abilities in a purely French/Irish-speaking class environment
- Refresh & improve your knowledge of grammar and vocabulary
- Hand-outs provided
COURSE DURATION: Classes held over 1 week (25 hours) Monday to Friday 10am-12.30pm & 1.30-4pm daily (max 12 students)
COURSE DATES L.CERT FRENCH IMMERSION DATES: Choice of 3 Sessions: 17-21 June, 15-19 July, 19-23 August 2013

SUMMER COURSES POST SECONDARY & THIRD LEVEL
PREPARATION COURSE FOR UNIVERSITY FRENCH
(suitable for students who have just completed Leaving Cert and are taking French at Third Level )
Build on your written and oral expression, develop your understanding of the particular requirements involved in
the advanced acquisition of French at 3rd level.
COURSE DURATION: Classes held over 3 consecutive days (6 hours) Tuesday – Thursday 11am-1pm
COURSE DATES: 1 Session: 3-5 September 2013

PREPARATION COURSE FOR ERASMUS YEAR
(suitable for students who are going on ERASMUS to France in 2012-2013)
A course specially designed to help students prepare for ERASMUS year: enhancing understanding and
expression of French for a variety of situations -lectures, administration, student life etc.
COURSE DURATION: Classes held over 2 weeks (6 hours) Tuesday & Thursday 11am – 12.30pm
COURSE DATES: 1 Session: 6-15 August 2013
COST: €75

Our 5th-year programme is specifically designed to begin a focused preparation of the student for the Leaving Cert. This course builds on the students knowledge, developing the necessary skills – oral & written expression, reading & listening comprehension – to enable the student to handle all aspects of the Leaving Cert programme with confidence. Remember, incremental and sustained study and practice rather than last minute cramming is the key: our tutors programme their course-content with this in mind – specially devised handouts, term reports, individual attention.

- 6- 12 students per class
- 1 hour per week over 27 weeks
- Cost €280 or €260 with early-booking discount before DATES TBC (the discount rate will apply after the early- booking date to families where 2 or more members are enrolling, the retired and for the unemployed. No other discount will apply during early- booking period.)
1st YEAR & 2nd YEAR
While you may not yet be in exam year, the language-learning process still continues! Our programme for 1st & 2nd Year help students to develop and deepen crucial comprehension and communication skills (oral and written) complementing school-work, and building confidence in an enjoyable class set-up for the Junior Cert curriculum.

TRANSITION YEAR
While Transition Year is the time to acquire new skills, it is also an important time to consolidate your knowledge of French in order to facilitate the transition from the basics acquired for Junior Cert towards the more rigorous demands of advanced French at Leaving Cert Level. Working on your language development at this crucial stage, under the guidance of our native French- speaking teachers, you will enhance your understanding, as well as your written and oral expression over a year-long programme.
