TIMETABLE: Year-long Timetable for Children and Teenagers

• 6-12 students per class
• 1 hour per week over 27 weeks
• Cost: €280 or €260 with early-booking discount before Saturday 10 September 2011 **

* The discount rate will apply after the early-booking date to families where 2 or more members
are enrolling and for the unemployed. No other discount will apply during early-booking period

TERMS: 26 September 2011 – 27 May 2012
- Autumn Mid-Term Break: Monday 31 October – 6 November 2011 inclusive (note Teens & Kids classes will
be held on Saturday 29 October. No classes on Wednesday 2 November or Saturday 5 November 2011)
- Christmas Break: Monday 19 December 2011 – Sunday 8 January 2012 inclusive (Teens & Kids Classes
will recommence on Wednesday 11 & Saturday 14 January 2012
- Spring Mid-Term Break: Monday 13 – Sunday 19 February 2012
- Easter Break: Monday 2 – Sunday 15 April 2012 inclusive. Classes will be held on Saturday 31 March 2012

Note! Except for Junior Cert & Leaving Cert classes below, all other 2nd-level and children’s classes will
not be held on the Saturday before the Leaving Cert French Oral Exam due to the scheduling of the Leaving
Cert Oral Preparation Course. This is accounted for in the above dates. The exact date will be issued in due
course.

YEAR-LONG COURSES FOR PRIMARY CHILDREN

Discover French through games, fun, and activities. Over the course of a year, your child will acquire and enhance language communication skills and expression through playgroup activities, singing, drawing, crafts, developing important vocabulary and grammatical skills at a young age in our variety of class-levels.

LEARN FRENCH THROUGH ART!

Age: 6 – 10 years
Level: some French desirable but not necessary
Term Dates: 1 October 2011- 21 January 2012: 14 weeks

AFTER-SCHOOL FRENCH CAMP FOR 8-12 YEARS

Fun and games, songs and activities French-language style at our after-school camp.

SUMMER COURSES FOR TODDLERS & CHILDREN

• -> A fun French camp for all levels – games, activities art, drama

  Class held over 5 days: (12.5 hours) Monday to Friday 2 – 4.30 pm

  Choice of 2 sessions: 23-27 July & 20-24 August 2012

  • GET READY FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL 120€

  (suitable for children who have just completed primary school)

  -> A course specially designed to build confidence in French just before starting 1st year at secondary school

  Classes held over 4 days (10 hours) Tuesday to Friday 10 am- 12.30 (max 12 students)

  Choice of 2 sessions 3-6 July, 7-10 August 2012

  • TODDLERS & PRE-SCHOOLER SUMMER CAMP €100

  -> A fun-filled immersion course for young children, accompanied by a parent/guardian, introducing them to the French language and culture

  Classes held over 4 days (8 hours), Tuesday to Friday 10 am- 12 pm

  PREPARATION FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

  Suitable for children who have either completed the Child year 1 to Year 4 programmes at AF, or are currently in 6th Class in Primary School.

  TODDLERS FRENCH-GROUP FOR 2-5 YEARS

  -> A fun and relaxed language programme which introduces children to the crucial sounds, simple vocabulary of the French language through age-appropriate songs and activities, in the company of a parent or guardian.
