before starting a longer course. Classes held twice weekly over 2 weeks (6 hours): Tuesdays & Thursdays
5.45 – 7.15pm.

TERMS:
Autumn Term: 26 September 2011 – 22 January 2012
Christmas Break: 19 December 2011 – 2 January 2012 inclusive
Spring Term: 30 January – 27 May 2012
Easter Break: 2 – 15 April 2012 inclusive

COURSE DURATION: 1.5 hours per week over 15 weeks (22.5 hours in total)7

COST: €230 or €200 with early-booking discount before Saturday 10 September 2011 for Autumn Term and
Saturday 14 January 2012 for Spring Term.

Discounts available after early-booking rate expires.

The discount rate will still apply to the following categories with suitable proof:
*Retired persons
*Unemployed
*Families where 2 or more members are enrolling
*Referral: enrol with a friend (new student) after the 10th September, and you can both still avail of discount rate

New! THIRD-LEVEL STUDENTS
ADVANCED PROGRAMME FOR 3RD-LEVEL

This course is designed to help 3rd-level students in their written and oral expression. While the course will
concentrate particularly on a final-year level programme, it will be of interest to 1st-year and 2nd-year students
also wishing to accelerate their acquisition of French at university level (equivalent to C1/C2) level.

The aim of the course is to help students:
– Compose grammatically correct, coherently argued written pieces and summaries on a range of
abstract topics, (current affairs, cultural, socio-cultural, etc.) concentrating on specific advancedlevel
vocabulary and idiomatic structures.
– Improve reading comprehension skills across a variety of genres (journalistic, critical, literary pieces).
– Improve translation skills.
– Develop oral expression skills in key topic areas.
