CINEMA
Essential diary dates for cinephiles – 4th – 11th March 2012, Alliance Française de CORK will roll out the red carpet for the 23rd Cork French Film Festival.
Paul CALLANAN, Festival Artistic Director, is pursuing his quest in bringing to Cork yet again a rich and innovative programme of films to inspire the imagination, together with a host of French stars.
A city wide Festival, supported by Board Gais Energy, main sponsor. Gate Cinema, main venue, Pavillion, UCC, Triskel, Cork Vision Centre, Wandesford Quay Gallery, Ballymaloe and the Grain Store, English Market, St Fin Barre’s Cathedral
Our 2012 Festival will mirror our audience: curious, open-minded, diverse with whom film-makers and actors can develop real dialogue through masterclasses, workshops, Q&As, feature films, documentaries, cine-concerts, installations.

VISUAL ARTS
Visual Arts have a lively and continuing presence in our Gallery. ‘Regards croisés’ a series of monthly exhibitions by French and Irish artists.

As part of our involvement in le Débat d’Idée, we regularly host lectures, conferences, talks at our premises and other venues.

THEATRE
We seek to complement the already rich theatre tradition in Cork by presenting a theatre performance in the French language. Watch this space …

MUSIC
Alliance Française de CORK is pleased to be associated with Cork Guinness Jazz Festival, Cork Midsummer Festival, and Fête de la musique on 21st June.

LITERATURE
We promote French literature through inviting French authors in association with UCC, Cork City Library, Munster Literary Centre.
