Impressions of the South (Impressions du Sud)
A photographic exhibition by French photographer Nicolas Duranton representing everything that is considered authentic from the south of France: cloudless blue skies, terracotta-coloured walls, historical architecture and Mediterranean flora, thus capturing the magical essence of the south of France – an innate sense of its own history and a unique life-style that continues to fascinate.
Discover L’île de La Réunion
6.30pm and 8.15pm
Discover the magical island of l’île de La Réunion – listen to songs and music, enjoy the traditional dance of l’île de La Réunion and meet our réunionnais guests!
14 students from Lycée Victor Schoelcher in l’île de La Réunion are in Cork to gain some professional, cultural and linguistic experience.
They have brought Mon Ti Péi Réunion a filmabout l’île de La Réunion, a magical island with a superb landscape, active volcano and diverse ethnic and cultural traditions.
Accompanying the film is and exhibition of black and white photography which shows the ethnic diversity of the island.
