Cork Chamber President sleeping rough on behalf of Focus Ireland

Friday 19 October 2012 Cork Chamber President, John Mullins will be sleeping rough in the Iveagh Gardens for the “Shine a Light” on homelessness campaign in Ireland.

People do not realise that there are over 5,000 people homeless in Ireland today and that one in seven is a child. ‘Shine a Light Night’ is happening so that we can all play our part in helping Focus Ireland provide vital prevention services which help change people’s lives.

Focus Ireland aim to break the cycle of homelessness by giving people access to information, housing, childcare and a range of education services throughout Dublin, Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick, Sligo, Waterford, Clare and Wexford.
