Alliance Française de Cork

For well over half a century, Alliance Française de Cork, part of the largest cultural network in the world, has been combining the promotion of Franco-Irish cultural bonds with teaching excellence.

Alliance Française de Cork crafted a yearlong cultural programme embracing all Art forms. From the Regards Croisés season in our Art Gallery, exhibing the works of French and Irish artists to the Débat d’Idées with Symposiums; theatre performances, Fête de la Musique, poetry recitals, to the Seventh Art: Cinéma. The highlight of the cultural calendar of Alliance Française de Cork is assurend by the nationally acclaimed CORK FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL (now in its 21st year).

The French multi-media library is unique in Cork (books, magazines, films, newspapers, music, CD-ROMs…).

Alliance Française de Cork offers courses at all levels, from A1 to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). It’s as well an examination centre for official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education and a it’s also a preparation centre for Junior and Leaving Certificate examinations.
