Cork Chamber President sleeping rough on behalf of Focus Ireland

Friday 19 October 2012 Cork Chamber President, John Mullins will be sleeping rough in the Iveagh Gardens for the “Shine a Light” on homelessness campaign in Ireland.

People do not realise that there are over 5,000 people homeless in Ireland today and that one in seven is a child. ‘Shine a Light Night’ is happening so that we can all play our part in helping Focus Ireland provide vital prevention services which help change people’s lives. (more…)

8pm  – a concert by JFF Orchestra conducted by Jackie Murphy. Classic and traditional repertoire.

The J.F.F. Orchestra has successfully completed its first year. The orchestra’s main aim is to give students of all abilities a platform to perform on, validating all their hard work. It also gives its members the facility to enjoy each other’s company through the medium of music. (more…)
