COULEUR DES SUDS PAR THIERRY MIRAMON

December 1, 2006

Thierry Miramon is a figurative painter with an exceptional sense of observation. His paintings incorporate scenes of everyday life – crowd, the animated settings found in cafes, concert halls and bull fighting arenas. From these moments, he highlights the tender, the amusing, the positive. He uses mainly primary colours in his playful and mischievous work.

AU-DELÀ DES FAÇADES PAR FIONA ARNOLD

November 1, 2006

Fiona has worked as a painter/illustrator, mural artist and screen-painter or fabric in Dublin, London and Lyon over the past 25 years. She is currently working with photographs, paint and mixed media including digital enhancing, creating layers and illusions.

The photographs are generally based on surface details and illusions sometimes using reflective windows and mirrors. Not knowing what is inside and what outside – both having equal importance as they are placed side by side on the one flat plane.

This exhibition entitled ‘Façades and Ouvertures’ is mainly featuring the beautifully proportioned houses in the towns of Arles and Toulon in the south of France and the unbeatable Paris which has so many visual delights to offer.
